The Maine and West Virginia work campers are closing in on their fundraising goal for their upcoming trips to H.O.M.E. in Orland, Maine, and Cabell-Lincoln Work Camp in Salt Rock, West Virginia. The money we are raising will be going to purchase supplies needed to complete repair projects at both work camps as well as van rentals, gas and hotel rooms for the West Va.-bound group. We would first like to thank everyone who has done so much to support us throughout the year by hiring us to rake your lawns, attending our Mystery Dinner, purchasing coffee cake and chili and participating in our paint night. Your support makes these opportunities for our youth and their adult chaperones possible and we are more grateful than we can say.

We are sponsoring two final fundraising events in May. The first one is our second annual Savers Fund Raiser. On Saturday May 13 there will be a truck from Savers parked in our church parking lot from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. We will be collecting: clothing of all kinds, shoes, boots, coats, small household items including kitchen gadgets/appliances, pots and pans, etc., linens and books. No furniture please! If you are doing some spring cleaning and planning to donate unwanted items, please consider bringing them to the church on May 13.

On Saturday May 20 we will be holding our annual car wash in front of the Hatch Building across from the church. Suggested donation is $5.00 and the hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thank you again for your continued support. And if you have any questions about either mission trip, please just ask!
