The Mission Committee held its monthly meeting on Sunday, May 21st.  We would like to thank the church for the generosity that allowed us to assemble and mail 100 health kits for Church World Service.

We also appreciate all who purchased Church World Service Mother’s Day Cards. The purchase of these cards is a gift of hope and help to mothers in need around the world. The blankets donated through the sale of the cards provide comfort in communities hit by disasters and in shelters or agencies assisting those experiencing hard times.

Along the same lines we will be selling Church World Service Father’s Day Cards beginning on June 11th. The cards are $5 each, but it is much more than a card, the money goes towards the purchase of  tool kits that will provide much needed assistance to those in need.

Since April, additional donations have been made to: One Great Hour of Sharing, Pembroke Food Pantry, Fire House food pantry, Cranberry Hospice, Boston City Mission, Heifer Project, Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ.

The Missions Committee continues to be grateful for the generosity of our congregation in helping us help those in our community and wider community.
