On April 30 we were able to pack 100 Hygiene Kits for Church World Service.  This is something that we do each year.  The kits are stored in depots throughout the country and are distributed to those affected by natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, or fire.

We had a successful Mothers Day card sale.  Many thanks to all who contributed.  Money from this sale goes to supply blankets to homeless shelters, warming stations, and to those affected by storms.

We will again be selling Father’s Day cards to support the Church World Service Tools drive.  This supplies tools such as fishing and farming equipment, seeds, and small loans to help people   to build independent lives and strong communities.  Cards will be available on June 11 and 18.

You may have noticed our beautiful Veteran’s basket in the Narthex.  We are accepting your donations of items which will be sent to our service men and women.  Games, puzzles, toiletries, etc.  will be gratefully received.

Lastly, envelopes for the UCC Strengthen the Church campaign will be in the pews throughout the summer.  This money is used to help struggling and new congregations, youth ministries, and to bring the voice of the UCC to parts of the country where its presence is not strong.

Thanks to all for your support!
