By the time this newsletter reaches you, we will have had seven Sunday School classes!  I am happy to report that things are going very well and that I feel grateful for a wonderful and motivated teaching staff, an excellent group of children who bring enthusiasm and questions each week, and a weekly schedule that starts in our first-ever Children’s Sanctuary.  Sunday School really is off to a great start!

Please let me know how YOU think things are going with our new curriculum and overall program.  We welcome feedback and are interested to hear about what your children may be sharing with you about what they have learned.  Please also provided suggestions about what is working best.

One thing that Pastor Matt has encouraged to CE since starting at First Church is starting a puppet ministry.  This can be an excellent way by which to teach the Bible and faith-based concepts, as well as role playing, to children.  It is a hard concept to imagine, but the kids enjoyed making the puppets so much last ear and it may be a great way to engage in active learning.  With this in mind, Rachel Karstunen shared a unique opportunity to see a Puppet Ministry in action.  On Sunday, November 5th, a hard working group of young people from H.O.P.E. Puppet Ministry at Norwell UCC will be performing a 45 minute long funny and educational production.  It will be at 4:00 PM at the Church of the Pilgrimage, 8 Town Square, Plymouth.  It is free and all are welcome to attend.

If there is enough interest, I am happy to take a group from First Church.  Please let me know if you and your child would be interested in attending as a group.
