A wonderful way for youth to play an important role in our ministry during the worship service is through the acolyte program. The term acolyte means one who attends or helps. Acolytes help to set the mood and atmosphere for our worship services. Their primary responsibility is to approach the altar to light and extinguish the candles before and after our worship service. The acolytes’ reverence serves to encourage the congregation to be prayerful and reverent as well.
Anyone second grade and older can become apart of the acolyte program. Feel free to reach out to Bill Robatzek, Acolyte Coordinator or any one of the Deacons if interested or for more information.
