It is hard to believe another school year is coming to an end. It has been a phenomenal year due to the wonderful and talented teaching staff, the Board of Director members, parents and the support of the Members and Staff of The First Parish Church in Pembroke.
Our teaching team for this year has been Susan Tyler, Lead Teacher, Ann Nathan, Teacher and Debra Roy, Teacher for the AM morning pre-k programs. The AM Mixed Age Group and Nursery teachers are Susan Morrison, Lead Teacher, Lisa Ricketts, Teacher, and Jennifer Driscoll, Teacher. Barbara Anastasia is the kitchen assistant, Ruth Ellis and Kathleen Collins are our substitutes. Our teachers go above and beyond what is expected of them providing the children with an outstanding and educational program. We are very proud and happy to announce CNK has been selected as Choice.
We have been able to offer the children several enrichment programs this year. The children were treated to a visit to Saucuk Farms where the children went on hayrides, pumpkin picking and other activities. In November the children learned about “our town” visiting the Police Station, Fire Station, Library, and a visit to the favorite “Dunkin Donuts”. In December the children were introduced to the many ways holidays are celebrated around the world. The children brought the story of The Polar Express . Rainforest Reptiles also visited CNK bringing turtles, snakes, frogs and an alligator. The children were treated to an end of year celebration titled Under the Sea.
CNK needs new ground cover on the playground. We have actively begun fundraising as we are looking into the many options of ground cover. Thank you to the many members who have supported our efforts.
Reflecting over the past year has given me an opportunity to be thankful for all the accomplishments we have been able to provide our students. CNK is honored to be part of the children as they began their educational journey.
