Parsonage Update

The Trustee team and friends have been working on the routine work of cleaning and maintaining the church properties. Almost a Dozen ‘Delightful Volunteers’ came to the several Saturday work sessions for outside cleanup – nearly 30 bags of leaves were brought to the Pembroke Recycle center for Composting and three truckloads of branches went  to Doc Roberts burn pit.

Various facets of Security have been a focus of several Trustee meetings. Several improvements will be announced and implemented soon.

Updating and preparing the parsonage for its future is ongoing. The boiler has been replaced and the master bath has been completely remodeled. We have begun the next phase of the renovations, the painting of the rooms. The preparation and painting of the ceilings throughout the house was completed one Saturday morning in April. A special ‘Thank you’ to the half dozen volunteers who took on the ceiling painting. We are moving on to preparing the walls and trim for painting. The plan is to meet Saturday mornings June 23rd through July 28th from 8-12 to patch the walls and trim and begin the painting of the rooms. Join us, no experience necessary to become part of the team. ‘Trainers’ will be on hand to show the skills needed for minor repairs and paint prep. Other facets of the building improvements remain open for discussion and means of funding. Questions??  Email gksim@aol.com or call Gail @ 781 293 9355.
