Margot Driscoll

Dear First Church Family,

It is with sadness that we tell you that our dear friend Margot Driscoll lost her battle with cancer yesterday.  She was a devoted and faithful member of our church for many years, giving her time to our events and sharing her beautiful voice with us in the choir.

Margot’s husband, David, will be planning a memorial service at a later date.

Please keep Margot’s family in your prayers.

I was deeply saddened by the news of Dear Margot’s passing. We met prior to 1999 when I decided to open a quilt shop in İstanbul, Turkey. She was such a great help to me and over the years and over the years we became friends.
My trips to her work place NEQS were always a pleasure because I knew I would also be seeing Margot, talk about our children & then grand children, quilts, fabrics and sometimes have a meal together at an area restaurant. She was one of the best people I met in my life with her honesty, sincerity and open heartedness.
I share her family’s deep grief and wish them courage and patience to bear the pain of her loss. I will always remember her with great affection.
    Rest in peace Dear Friend.

My heart hurts every time I think of this lovely person no longer being with us. It is with great sadness that I write this comment. Margot was a friend, a loving caring talented person, one of a kind. She will be very missed by friends and family.

It breaks my heart. I sang in the choir with her years ago, was in the quilt guild back then, too, with her. It always made me happy to see her in church. My loving prayers go with her and also for her family. She’s singing with the angels now. Peace.
