Welcome & Opening Prayer

Call to Contemplation      The Light of the World is Jesus

Call to Worship (blended from today’s Scripture readings)

P:   Let us honor the One we know as Jesus; honor Him for His Glory and Strength.

C:   We gather to honor Jesus in the splendor of His Holiness and His Majesty.

P:   The Voice of the Lord is all powerful and omnipresent. God’s Spirit hovered over   the seas.

C:   In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. It was formless, empty and dark.

P:   Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God separated the light from the dark.

C:   God called light “day,” darkness “night;” evening passed, morning came. Ah, the 1st day!

Our Father, Who Art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.  Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our sins as we forgive those who have sinned against us.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory, forever and ever.  Amen.
