Prelude                      When I Survey the Wondrous Cross

Welcome and Prayer

It is Lent and tonight, O Gracious God, we gather to revisit a most important moment, the story of the Last Supper, in which Your Son Jesus, and His Disciples, shared a meal – a meal we know as Holy Communion.  In being together, bless us this evening, as we continue to learn of Your Ways, and gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be Your people.  In Your Holy Name we pray.  Amen.

Call to Worship

P:      This is a day of remembrance.  God created this day for us.

In this moment, we gather to worship and hear His Story.

C:      It is said, “If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and

believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be

saved.”   We believe, we confess, and we celebrate our salvation!

P:      Two thousand or so years ago, Jesus met with His most trusted disciples.  Tonight, we revisit the Table to celebrate that night once again.

C:      We have gathered to break bread together.

We lift up the cup of salvation and celebrate Jesus of Nazareth.

P:      This is the hour when we are recalled to the command:

“As I have loved you, so shall you love one another.”

C:      Therefore, may the Peace of Christ be with us all, now and forevermore.   Amen and Amen.
