“The Complexity of Spiritually Dealing with Anger”

Sermon Summary:

All of us have felt anger. This emotion is a very normal one, however at times it can turn destructive and can become unhealthy.

The way in which we deal with our anger is based in large part on the way we observed others deal with it as we were growing up.

It is possible to redirect our anger and turn it into something positive. During a heated discussion we should slow down, listen, and think about what we want to say. We should not allow our anger to be used to hurt others.

Paul tells us to be angry but do not sin. Sin separates us from our relationship with God. Anger creates a wall between ourselves and God.

Many times, the best response when feeling angry is to pray for a spirit of gentleness. Use anger to grow and to help others.
