Father Jesus, we cry “Abba” and proclaim your holy name. Even when you came back to life and showed your nail-pierced hands as proof of your death, burial and resurrection, many believed but many still doubted. Today we confess that from centuries ago to our present modern world not much has changed in the hearts of humans. We are still a generation steeped in unbelief and embossed with much pride. Redeemer, we call on your holy name this day to mold our human hearts to believe in you, thereby allowing us to receive the recompense of the reward you have in store for us.
