FOR THE MONTH OF JULY, FIRST CHURCH COUNCIL IS FEATURING THE ENDOWMENT COMMITTEE

The Endowment Committee is the custodian and oversees the investments of the Endowment Fund of First Church in Pembroke. The Committee furthers the mission of First Church by encouraging Christian stewardship of accumulated, inherited, and appreciated resources of Church members.

The Endowment Committee works with a recognized investment advisor with fiduciary responsibility for the Fund. This is currently the Rockland Trust Company. The Committee meets with Rockland Trust at least once a year to discuss market trends and the performance of the Fund.

The Committee, in conjunction with Rockland Trust, has developed an Investment Policy Statement describing the Church s investment objectives, risk tolerance, and return expectations. This is used by Rockland Trust to invest in the assets of the Fund.
