After the Service, speak to one another kindly.
Today, we light the candle of Peace.
We gather around the Advent wreath today, knowing that we are not perfect and that we all make mistakes. Only Jesus obeyed God fully; Jesus helped us to live as God wanted us to live and gave us his peace.
December 15. 2023 CNK s 2023 Christmas Concert at 10:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. The children would love to see all of you!
December 20, 2023, the Pembroke Educational Bible Study will have a ‘Christmas Potluck Dinner’ in Fellowship Hall
at 3:30. Everyone is welcome to attend. All attending must bring an unwrapped gift under $10 for swapping.
With
the Christmas season upon us, First Church in Pembroke’s
Christmas Card Mailbox is back in the Narthex.
If you are interested in beautifying our amazing Sanctuary with a Poinsettia, please call the office or see Francine. All orders are due by December 17, 2022. The cost will be $15.00. You will also find envelopes in the pews for the next few weeks.
December 24, 2023, Christmas Eve Service at 7:00 pm. More information to come!
First Church December Monthly Meetings; please join us!
CNK Staff: will meet on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. CNK meets on the third Monday of each month.
Trustees: will meet on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in Fellowship Hall at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Council meeting at 7:15 p.m. Trustees and the Council meetings are on the third Tuesday of each month. These meetings are available via Zoom. Please visit Firstchurchinpembroke.org for the Zoom link.
Thrift Shop: will meet on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Thrift Shop at noon. Thrift Shop meets on the second Wednesday of each month.
Missions: will meet on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Missions meet on the fourth Monday of each month.
The Council is strongly suggesting that everyone join a committee. The First Church needs everyone’s help to make our Church the Beacon of Pembroke! Please consider joining a Committee! Nominations are coming. Please contact the Nomination Committee or see one of our Chairs for more information.
On-going monthly Information for First Church in Pembroke
FPC Community Pancake Breakfast is the first Saturday of each month. The next one is on January 06, 2024,
8 10 am in Fellowship Hall. Pancake Breakfast is year-round!
Flowers for the Sanctuary: The 2023 Flower Signup Sheet can be found outside the Deacons Closet. Please call the office and leave a message if you are interested in ordering flowers for a Sunday Service. Flowers are a beautiful way to remember a loved one and celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or any other special event.
Sunday Fellowship: Thank you to all who either brought a food item or signed up to bring one in. Please remember that these items can be store-bought. Your generosity is appreciated. A signup sheet for this is in Fellowship Hall.
First Church in Pembroke Steeple Lighting: If you would like to light the Steeple for any special occasion, you can contact JoEllen Graham via the FCIP Facebook page.
