Matthew 26:26-30

28 “This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”

Pastor Joy discusses the New Covenant established by Jesus at the Last Supper, emphasizing its significance as a new agreement with God based on a personal relationship rather than strict adherence to laws. Pastor Joy emphasizes that Jesus’ death and resurrection fulfill God’s promises outlined in those covenants, offering forgiveness and a personal relationship with God.  The Lord’s Supper is presented not as mere ritual but as a powerful act of remembering and recommitting to this New Covenant.  The Corinthian church’s struggles are used as an example of how division and lack of love can undermine the true meaning of communion  The Sermon concludes with a call to renew the covenant with God, acknowledging His love and committing to a life of following Christ.
