For December, Roger Means is lighting the steeple and placing flowers on the altar in memory of loved ones. Thank you, Roger, for this generous contribution.
Jim & Judy Tucker will light the Candle of Joy.

Once again, we will be ordering Poinsettias for $16.00 each to beautify our amazing sanctuary. You can find envelopes in the pews to fill out, or you can call the church office at 781-293-2584 and leave a detailed message with the quantity you are looking for and who they are in memory of or honor of. The deadline is this Sunday, December 15, 2024.
In lieu of Christmas Cards, First Church is asking for a donation for Christ’s child. Envelopes are in the pews, and we still have the First Church mailbox in the hallway for Christmas Cards.
During Christmas, your generous contributions of canned goods, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, etc., significantly impact those in need and are a source of pride for our community. We at First Church will continue to collect for Christmas, and the Deacons have placed a container in the front foyer for your convenience. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Do not forget to join us today for our Christmas Potluck Luncheon from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. This is not just a meal but a time to come together, Share in the season’s joy, and strengthen our bonds.

CNK Staff: will meet on Monday, December 16, 2024, in Fellowship Hall at 2:30 pm.
Trustees: will meet on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in Fellowship Hall at 6:00 pm, followed by the Council meeting at 7:15 pm. Trustees and the Council meetings are on the third Tuesday of each month. These meetings are available via Zoom. Please visit Firstchurchinpembroke.org for the Zoom link.

On-going Information for 2024
The First Church in Pembroke Community Pancake Breakfast is not just an event but a cherished tradition we proudly uphold. It is a time for our community to come together, share a meal, and strengthen our bonds. Held on the first Saturday of each month, the next one is on January 04, 2025, from 8 10 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. Remember, Pancake Breakfast is a year-round celebration, a testament to our unity and togetherness.
Flowers for the Sanctuary: The 2024 Flower Signup Sheet can be found outside the Deacons Closet. Please call the office and leave a message if you are interested in ordering flowers for Sunday Service. Flowers are a beautiful way to remember a loved one and celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or any other special event. The cost of the flowers is now $45.00.
Sunday Fellowship: Thank you to all who either brought a food item or signed up to bring one in. Please remember that these items can be store-bought. Your generosity is appreciated. A signup sheet for this is in Fellowship Hall.
First Church in Pembroke Steeple Lighting & Playing of the Chimes: If you would like to light the Steeple or play the Chimes for any special occasion, such as a birthday, anniversary, or in memory of a loved one, you can contact JoEllen Graham via the FCIP Facebook page. This is a unique way to mark a special event and share it with the entire community. The Steeple Lighting and playing of the Chimes is a symbolic act that signifies our unity and support for each other during significant life events. It is a beautiful way to share your joy or sorrow with the congregation.
