Marsha Dinneen

Marsha Dinneen, age 78 years, of Plymouth, died Sunday, April 20, 2025, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Drew G. and Mildred E. (Shore) Doty. Born in Boston on March 18, 1947, she was raised in Scituate. Marsha worked as a librarian at Sacred Heart High School in Kingston, Bridgewater High School, and Braintree High School. Following her retirement, she became a substitute for Plymouth schools. She was an active member of a bowling league in Kingston and made a home with her two beloved cats, Mikey and Max, in Plymouth.

She is survived by her daughter Amy Whitford and her husband Lee Stanford of Arlington, and her partner John Cahill of Weymouth. She was the sister of the late John Doty.

A memorial service will be held at the First Church in Pembroke, 105 Center Street in Pembroke, MA 02389, on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Light refreshments after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
