15 November 2025Dear Members and Friends of First Church,

This has been a busy year for our church! We worshipped together, celebrated together, worked together, and mourned together. The Church is made up of its people, and it is the people who come together to support it and each other.

As we look forward to time with family and friends during the celebrations of Thanksgiving and Christmas, it is also time to reflect on how each of us can support the church.

I ask that each one of us prayerfully consider our responsibilities as good Stewards of First Church. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines stewardship as the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one s care. First Church has been cared for by its members since its founding in 1712, standing as a symbol of God s continuing presence in the center of Pembroke. What an honor to follow in their footsteps. It is our duty to keep First Church strong for those who follow us. Stewardship of our church requires three things of us all: that we give generously of our time, talent, and treasure.

Soon, you will be receiving your annual Pledge cards. They may be returned in the offering plate or to the church office. Our church needs your financial support to continue to carry out its Ministry and Mission.

Making a Pledge enables the financial team to plan accurately for the needs of the church for the coming year. Thanks to all for your generous support of our church.

With thanks and blessings to all,

Jane Hodge
