“Be Strong and Courageous”

by Pastor Joy Matos

Order Of Worship

Joshua 1:6-9

SUMMARY:

Following God isn’t about a boring list of rules or a “force of habit” like brushing your teeth; it’s an exciting journey where you are part of a high-stakes mission. In the Bible, people like Joshua and the first disciples were told to be “strong and courageous” because they were stepping into huge, unknown adventures. You might feel like you’re on your own when things get tough at work or at home, but God is like the truckers in the story Pastor Joy shared. There was a little white-haired grandmother driving a manual transmission stick-shift across the country with a broken arm, and even though she couldn’t see them, a team of truckers was “shadowing” her and protecting her the whole way. God is doing the same for you. He’s already watching over you, and He promises to be with you in every single step, as long as you’re willing to trust Him and move. Understanding that we are never truly alone allows us to look more deeply at how Pastor Joy uses these stories to make ancient truths feel current and alive.
