December 20, 2023, the Pembroke Educational Bible Study will have a ‘Christmas Potluck Dinner’ in Fellowship Hall at 2:30. Everyone is welcome to attend. All attending, please bring an unwrapped gift under $10 for swapping.
With the Christmas season upon us, First Church in Pembroke’s Christmas Card Mailbox is back in the Narthex.
If you are interested in beautifying our amazing Sanctuary with a Poinsettia, please call the office or see Francine. All orders are due by December 17, 2023. The cost will be $15.00. You will also find envelopes in the pews.
Join us on December 24, 2023, for Christmas Eve Service Candles and Carols at 7:00 pm with Rev. Miriam.
First Church January Monthly Meetings; please join us!
CNK Staff: will meet on Monday, January 08, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. CNK meets on the third Monday of each month.
Thrift Shop: will meet on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the Thrift Shop at noon. Thrift Shop meets on the second Wednesday of each month.
Deacons: will meet on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Deacons meet on the second Sunday of each month.
Trustees: will meet on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, in Fellowship Hall at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Council meeting at 7:15 p.m. Trustees and the Council meetings are on the third Tuesday of each month. These meetings are available via Zoom. Please visit Firstchurchinpembroke.org for the Zoom link.
Missions: will meet on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Missions meet on the fourth Monday of each month.
The Council is strongly suggesting that everyone join a committee. The First Church needs everyone’s help to make our Church the Beacon of Pembroke! Please consider joining a Committee! Nominations are coming. Please contact the Nomination Committee or see one of our Chairs for more information.
ONGOING INFORMATION
FPC Community Pancake Breakfast is the first Saturday of each month. The next one is on January 06, 2024, 8 10 am in Fellowship Hall. Pancake Breakfast is year-round!
Flowers for the Sanctuary: The 2023 Flower Signup Sheet can be found outside the Deacons Closet. Please call the office and leave a message if you are interested in ordering flowers for a Sunday Service. Flowers are a beautiful way to remember a loved one and celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or any other special event.
Sunday Fellowship: Thank you to all who either brought a food item or signed up to bring one in. Please remember that these items can be store-bought. Your generosity is appreciated. A signup sheet for this is in Fellowship Hall.
First Church in Pembroke Steeple Lighting: If you would like to light the Steeple for any special occasion, you can contact JoEllen Graham via the FCIP Facebook page.
