Dear Members of First Church of Pembroke, June 12, 2024

It is with great joy and blessings that the Search Committee has come to a decision to recommend Pastor Joy Matos as the candidate for Settled Pastor at First Church in Pembroke. This letter serves to invite you to a congregational meeting and to vote for the candidate. (June 22, 2025.) Jane Hodge, Moderator, has posted the required Warrant.

Included with this letter [check your email] is a biography of Pastor Joy Matos and why the Search Committee recommends Pastor. You are also invited to attend a meet and greet fellowship event on June 22, 2025, to welcome Pastor Joy personally. 

On the day of the congregation meeting and vote, Pastor Joy will present her sermon. The meeting will follow the worship service.  Members of the Search Committee and Moderator Jane Hodge will be present to conduct the vote. Voting members of First Church in Pembroke will then be invited to vote.

After all the votes have been counted, an announcement will be made as to the call vote results.

This is an exciting time in the life of our congregation! We ask that you hold the candidate and the whole congregation in prayer as we engage in discernment together.
